The international printer and publisher Gruner + Jahr is the journalistic home of the world's most fascinating magazines, newspapers and Internet sites – a market leader in many segments. Powerful brands, the cultivation of journalistic and entrepreneurial talents, and independent editorial departments have turned us into Europe’s biggest magazine publisher and one of the biggest publishers in the world.

Newspapers and magazines contribute the facts and background information that let readers form their own perceptions of the world. Gruner + Jahr plays an important part in this with its more than 285 print titles and accompanying homepages in over 20 countries, printing plants in Germany and the United States, and professional websites.

Magazines

One in eight Germans reads "Stern" magazine, and one in ten German women reads "Brigitte." Periodicals such as Geo, Capital, Schöner Wohnen and Eltern have long since become classics in the magazine realm. Nor is the success story limited to Germany: In France, one in two people reads one or more of the 19 magazines published by the Gruner Jahr subsidiary Prisma Media. And in Poland, Gruner + Jahr is the leader in the advertising market.

Newspapers

G+J publishes several newspapers in Germany. The Sächsische Zeitung (SZ) is one of Germany's leading local papers, and is a highly profitable operation.
