Printer Portuguesa Gets First-rate Environmental Report Card

Printer Portuguesa, an arvato printer in Portugal , has just been certified ISO 14001:1999 for environmental management. The certification complements the ISO 9001:2000 that Printer had earned in March 2004, and is equivalent to a first-rate environmental scorecard, confirming that Printer Portuguesa complies with environmental guidelines in a strict and exemplary manner. Nor does Printer Portuguesa intend to rest on its recent environmental laurels. Instead, the Arvato subsidiary is striving for an OHSAS 18001:1999 certification for its health and job safety management in early 2007; preparations are already underway. Printer Portuguesa reports that the certifications it already holds, as well as the ones it is striving for, underscore its commitment to upholding quality in production while also being considerate of people and the environment.
