Arvato Services Employees Donate €35,000 For People In Need

As in past years, the employees of Arvato Services are continuing a fine tradition by waiving their Christmas gifts from the management. Instead, they are donating an equivalent sum to nonprofit initiatives in the county of Gütersloh. Since the beginning of the campaign in 1996, a total of €170,000 has been donated to social causes. VVA and Arvato Infoscore are also continuing the tradition under the motto "donating instead of giving gifts." Rather than giving gifts to their clients, the two Arvato companies instead donate the amount of €20,000.

This year, the Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft, the Rietberger Förderschule GG for the fostering of mental development, and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt will each receive €5,000 from the employees. The Chairman of the Works Council, Oswald Lexer, and the members of the Arvato board of management, Rolf Buch, CEO Arvato Direct Services, and Hans-Joachim Herzog, CEO Arvato Logistics Services, handed over a total of €15,000 to the representatives of the selected institutions.

"Donating instead of giving gifts" was also the motto for Arvato Infoscore. Instead of giving gifts to their clients, the company donated €15,000, which Wolfgang Spitz, representing the management of Arvato Infoscore, handed over to five organizations at the company's corporate headquarters location in Baden Baden. The checks went to the district center Briegelacker, Theodor-Heuss-Förderschule, the shelter for women and children, the campaign committee "Children in Hospitals," and the campaign "BT readers bring Christmas joy."

VVA also joined the ranks of donators. The Brazil initiative Avicres received a check for more than €5,000 a few days ago from VVA Director Stephan Schierke. The organization Avicres was founded in 1991 and gives assistance for self-help in the slums of Brazil.
