G + J Donates €46,000 To Four Aid Organizations In Hamburg And To Hamburg Spendenparlament

Yesterday, G+J CEO Bernd Kundrun was able to hand over a total of €46,000 to four aid organizations and the Hamburg Spendenparlament. The Hamburg employees of Gruner + Jahr collected the money during a Christmas bazaar and Christmas party on December 6, 2005 that they had organized. The G+J CEO rounded up the sum to €46,000. Now, four checks of €11,000 each have been handed over. In addition, €2,000 went to the Hamburg Spendenparlament, which Gruner + Jahr has been traditionally cooperating with to select the funded projects.

The employees and board of management of Gruner + Jahr AG have been supporting Hamburg initiatives with the profits from their annual Christmas bazaar since 1978. This year, the family project Adebar, the Mentor reading aid, the Hospital Clowns Hamburg, and the Hilfspunkt association benefited from the donations. "Thanks to the commitment of many Gruner + Jahr employees, we can distribute the sum of €46,000 to four Hamburg institutions and to the Hamburg Spendenparlament this year. We are thus supporting the work of the selected projects, which wouldn't be possible without the volunteer commitment of many individuals," commented Bernd Kundrun.
