'Spinning' For A Good Cause: RTL Group Colleagues Pedal For 'Télévie'

Employees of RTL Group in Luxembourg pedaled on their spinning bikes for a good cause. Their employer promised to donate four euros per kilometer to the fundraising campaign "Télévie." The result was 9,525 kilometers pedaled and €38,100, which RTL Group rounded up to €40,000.

Every year, various RTL Group radio and television stations in Belgium and Luxembourg collect several million euros with the support of innumerable helpers. The money goes to benefit national cancer research. The big fundraising finale will take place this year on April 1 in Mons, Belgium. RTL TVI will broadcast the event live; according to estimates from the organizers, donations amounting to millions will again be collected during the event. Since its foundation in 1989 "Télévie" has raised almost €70 million for cancer research.
