Berryville Graphics Receives Environmental Award

Representatives from Viking Fibers, Inc. of Bensalem, Pennsylvania recently presented Berryville Graphics with their World Appreciation Award acknowledging Berryville’s industry-leading recycling program. The award was given to the book manufacturer in recognition of its superior efforts in recycling paper and, in doing so, providing for a healthier environment.

When presenting the award, Al Villamil of Viking Fibers described Berryville as "one of the most pro-active organizations we deal with in our mission to assist companies world-wide to become more aware of the environment." He said, "Viking Fibers is very pleased to be a part of Berryville’s tradition of environmental awareness and its continued focus on helping to make the world a better place in which to live."

Viking, which has handled Berryville’s scrap paper for recycling for the last five years, said Berryville’s approach to paper recycling, process innovation and environmental consciousness is an example for the industry.

The World Appreciation Award reads: "This award is presented to Berryville Graphics. Through its recycling efforts, this company has contributed to saving 233,431 trees around the world, making our planet a better place to live."

Berryville recycles in excess of 1,000 tons of paper each month.
