French 'Gala' Supports Schools In Africa

The French "Gala," a magazine of the French G+J subsidiary Prisma Presse, organized a big charity show entitled "Gala for Life" last weekend within the framework of the 59th Cannes Film Festival. Almost 200 celebrity guests accepted the invitation to the renowned Hôtel Majestic-Barrière. The highlight of the big entertainment program was the auction of high-quality products, which were worth quite a bit to the international stars: €126,000 was collected for UNICEF, the United Nations International Children's Educational Fund. The money will be used to rebuild schools in Africa . Prisma Presse calculates the amount needed for each school is around €11,000, which means the reconstruction of a dozen schools will be possible with the donations.
