M6 Strikes Up The Band: Pop Concert At Children's Hospital

Finally, it was a different kind of rounds through the ward for the young patients at the Paris children's hospital Hôpital Necker a few days ago: instead of doctors in white coats, the crème de la crème of French pop came to the children's rooms to be close to their youngest fans. But that wasn't all: after visiting the bedridden children, the artists gave a big concert in the hospital's courtyard. And M6 organized the event. This is the thirteenth time the French RTL Group station has helped sick children in this way.

The two people responsible for bringing together the group of French pop stars to the Hôpital Necker were M6 hosts Magloire and Jérôme Anthony. Among the artists who performed for the young patients in the courtyard of the Paris children's hospital were Roch voisine, Liane Foly, Patrick Fiori, Tina Arena, Diam’s, Nâdiya, Myriam Abel, La troupe du roi Soleil, Magic System, Emma Daumas, Clémence, Humphrey and Miguel Angel Munoz. Of course, the children had first row seats to be truly close to their idols. But the free concert was also open to other guests who wanted to see the stars together with the children.

For the children who had to stay in their rooms, M6 broadcast the open-air concert from the courtyard via the internal television network live to all of the rooms. Once again, the French station succeeded in distracting the children and, for at least one day, creating an atmosphere at the hospital in which music, the elaborate fête and cheerfulness dominated.
