Books On Tape Introduces Green Packaging
The American Random House subsidiary Books On Tape, the leading provider of audio books for libraries and schools, has introduced new, environmentally friendly packaging for its audio books named "Eco Sound." As the New York company announced, the new cases are made from fifty percent recycled materials. They are durable enough to withstand thousands of openings and closings. This durability will reduce the need for libraries and schools to constantly replace the casings, reducing costs. At the same time, the Random House company is making an important contribution to conservation and to the reduction of its carbon footprint.
The first two titles to be released in the new "Eco Sound" binders are "Inheritance" by Christopher Paolini (narrated by Gerard Doyle), and "Back to Work" by Bill Clinton (narrated by the former President). Both audio books will be released this Tuesday. By mid-December, all new titles will be shipped in "Eco Sound" binders. By the way, Books On Tape will customize them – as was the case with the former packaging –with labels or security codes upon request from the schools and libraries.
