RTL Group Employees Rally For The Children Of Niger

As part of their holiday season activities, RTL Group employees in Luxembourg have raised €4,000 in a charity campaign for SOS Children's Villages supporting children in need in Niger.

Elmar Heggen, Chief Financial Officer and head of RTL Group’s Corporate Center says: "Helping children in need during the holiday season has become a tradition at the Corporate Center in Luxembourg. RTL Group rallies worldwide to support the less fortunate and I am delighted to see our staff respond so generously to the campaign to support the work of SOS Children's Villages."

The donation will fund the development of a new SOS Children's Village consisting of 12 family houses and a kindergarten in Dosso, Niger, a project supported by the Luxembourg association. Each child in this village will receive education and training with the goal of them eventually being able to lead a socially and economically self-sufficient life.

The association’s check was handed over on Wednesday, Dec 14 at RTL Group’s headquarters in the presence of Sophie Molitor, Director of the SOS Children's Villages association in Luxembourg; Elmar Heggen, Alain Berwick, Managing Director of RTL Lëtzebuerg; Alain Flammang, CEO of BCE; and RTL Group HR Director Romain Mannelli.
