Join Caillou in protecting the environment .
Super RTL launches a cross-platform marketing campaign entitled ‘Caillou protects the environment!’ / Universum Film releases new Caillou DVD.
Caillou, the outgoing protagonist of Super RTL’s eponymous preschool format, discovers something new every day. Now the inquisitive 4-year-old sets out to reach his fans with a cross-media marketing campaign under the heading ‘Caillou protects the environment’. In July, little viewers will learn how they can easily help to protect the environment in their own lives.
The campaign will be run on all of the Cologne-based channel’s platforms. In addition to broadcasting a campaign trailer, the children’s market leader has also added a special campaign site to Toggolino.de, where children will find lots of educational stories that teach them the basics of environmental protection in a fun way. Children and their parents can also create and submit their own environmental tips. In addition, a brochure will be mailed out to more than 10,000 kindergartens in Germany, containing fun environmental facts presented in an age-appropriate way. UNESCO’s Programme for the Education of Children in Need is the campaign partner, under its slogan ‘Eye love to help’.
The channel’s partner Universum Kids is releasing new DVDs and audiobooks entitled ‘Caillou saves water and other stories’ to coincide with the start of the campaign. Super RTL and the Munich-based distributor have had a successful licensing partnership since 2005; Universum Kids has sold more than 900,000 Caillou DVDs to date.
