1.5 Million Deutschland Card Points For SOS Children’s Village
The SOS Children’s Village Ammersee-Lech received a check from the Arvato subsidiary Deutschland Card and the “Gesund leben” pharmacies yesterday during its summer festival – for 1.5 million Deutschland Card points. With its advice center for development diagnosis, the SOS Children’s Village Ammersee-Lech addresses children with disabilities and development disorders and their parents.
Christoph Rublack of the SOS Children’s Village Ammersee-Lech was pleased to accept the donation worth approximately 15,000 euro from Markus Lessing, CEO Deutschland Card, and Gönna Schneil, Deputy Director Marketing of the “Gesund leben” pharmacies. The money will be used for the ongoing conversion and expansion of the family meeting point “Minimax”, where language classes especially for young immigrant families and open consultations as well as bazaars take place. In addition, children can be cared for in playgroups. The goal of the meeting point is to enable parents and children to establish contact and thus protect themselves from social isolation. According to the SOS Children’s Village, almost 5,000 people use the offer each year. The expansion aims to provide even more families with the possibility to use the open meeting point.
Christoph Rublack: “We are delighted that the construction work can be financed with the generous donation. I believe I also speak for the parents and children, who will benefit from the more comprehensive offer we will be able to provide.” According to Gönna Schneil, the “Minimax” makes a decisive contribution to helping young families get settled and feel well in their new home. “We are happy that we can contribute to the institution’s expansion with the partnership with Deutschland Card.” Markus Lessing adds: “As a company it is very important for us to support institutions like the SOS Children’s Village by making a donation that will make it accessible to more families.”
