Horst Keil Joins Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA Supervisory Board
The Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA General Assembly today elected the new Corporate Works Council Chairman Horst Keil (58) to its Supervisory Board at an extraordinary General Meeting. Keil succeeds Erich Ruppik as employee representative on the Board after Ruppik, who sat on the Supervisory Board for many years, resigned from his office on account of his age.
The Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA Supervisory Board has 18 members, including Keil, five of whom are employee representatives.
Bertelsmann’s Supervisory Board Chairman Gunter Thielen said: “Horst Keil has worked for Bertelsmann for 37 years and has made a name for himself during this time based on his ability to mediate between a wide range of different interests with a knack for always finding solutions in a spirit of partnership. His expertise, his knowledge, in particular when it comes to Arvato’s business, and his constructive contribution, are all most welcome on the Supervisory Board. We greatly look forward to working with Horst Keil for the benefit of the company.”
The Bertelsmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft (Bertelsmann Management Company, BVG) controls 100 percent of the voting rights in the Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA Annual General Meeting.
