Brockhaus Brings Learning Aid Series To Stores

From kindergarten to vocational school: the Wissenmedia brand Brockhaus will bring about 90 learning aids to stores in January 2013. The new program under the “Brockhaus Scolaris” brand focuses on the learning requirements of children and youth alongside school with an offer that is independent from the textbooks and applicable German state requirements in Brockhaus’ typical state-of-the-art quality.

Brockhaus has developed ten different series for different school types and learning requirements. They range from the playful series for preschool children to “Lesespaß” for first readers and “Intensiv lernen” for all types of schools to the application trainer for vocational school students. With the series “Schulwissen kompakt” students can learn and practice through multimedia content. The free online offer includes a broad range of work sheets and leaflets as well as tests for the VERA exams.

Detlef Wienecke-Janz, Publishing Director of the Inmediaone subsidiary Wissenmedia, comments: “As a publisher with a focus on education, knowledge and learning, a modern learning aid program is a must. With a team of highly competent educational experts we have developed a comprehensive, high-quality program.” He expects the entry into the afterschool program market to bring an increase in revenues. With “Brockhaus Scolaris” Wissenmedia doubles the number of available Brockhaus print titles.

Monika Lobeck, Chief Editor New Learning Media, explains the new program segment: “The Brockhaus brand enjoys a high level of credibility. We guarantee the Scolaris customers that our learning aid series are fine-tuned with each other and meet with all of the current standards in didactics and content. We have conceived Brockhaus Scolaris in such a way that it considers the requirements of different types of learners and carries all of them to success.”
