Webmiles Donates 24,000 Euro To German Stroke Foundation
The Webmiles campaign entitled “You shop – We donate” raised 24,000 euro. During the pre-Christmas shopping season users of Arvato’s online shopping portal were able to do some good through their purchase: for each order via www.webmiles.de the company donated 100 Webmiles to the German Stroke Foundation. Together with the Webmiles participants, a total of 24,000 euro was collected. Torsten Hautmann, Head of Webmiles, presented the check to Liz Mohn, President of the foundation. The money will be used to support the educational campaign entitled “Each stroke is an emergency”.
For many years, Liz Mohn has been advocating for education on the subject of strokes with an enormous amount of commitment. The foundation’s president is delighted with the Webmiles donation: “Every minute counts in the event of a stroke. It is a matter of heart for me to disseminate this knowledge about such emergencies. We will now be able to expand the educational campaign with the support of Webmiles and its participants.”
Torsten Hautmann, Head of Webmiles, was pleased with the charity campaign: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to present this donation to Liz Mohn today on behalf of the Webmiles participants. Each purchase by our participants during the pre-Christmas season contributed to the fact that we are able to support the valuable work of the German Stroke Foundation with 24,000 euro.”
