Arvato Infoscore Donates €20,000 Euro For A Good Cause
With the idea of “giving hope instead of presents” at Christmas 2012, Arvato Infoscore initially donated €10,000 itself, and then ran an unprecedented donations campaign for its clients. Instead of a gift, they were sent a donations voucher to be activated online. Response was huge, with more than 300 clients taking the step to activate. In the end – after a generous rounding-up by the Arvato subsidiary – another €10,000 were raised, so a total of €20,000 have now been presented to the Marianne von Weizsäcker Foundation, which works to promote the integration of former addicts.
The association helps men and women who formerly suffered from addictive disorders to get out of debt and with their social and professional integration following proof of successful treatment. It works with clients to develop a flexible concept that is tailored to the debtor’s individual situation.
The donations check was presented at a lecture evening hosted by the Marianne von Weizsäcker Foundation, in the attendance of its patron Marianne von Weizsäcker and her husband, former German President Richard von Weizsäcker, in the city of Hamm. Frank Kebsch, a member of the Arvato Infoscore management board, said: “As a business, we feel a duty to financially live up to our social responsibility. We chose the Marianne von Weizsäcker Foundation because it helps people to help themselves, which is a perfect match for Arvato Infoscore’s core business. As a service provider for risk and receivables management, we also serve a protective function in the economy.”
