From Berlin to Beijing

In addition to the Gütersloh headquarters, Bertelsmann has Corporate Centers or representations in Berlin, Brussels, New York, Beijing, Sao Paolo and New Delhi. We see this as reason enough to get involved “outside our front door” in these cities as well.

Bertelsmann’s representative offices in Berlin and Brussels give our stakeholders and the interested public an insight into the diversity of our company. We use them as venues for readings by our authors, screenings of our movies, and panel discussions to encourage discourse.

Over the past few years, the Corporate Center in New York has been the driving force behind the development and introduction of Bertelsmann’s worldwide Code of Conduct.

Following the disastrous earthquake of May 12, 2008, the Bertelsmann Corporate Center in Beijing has assisted in the implementation of two extensive relief projects in the region: the rebuilding and expansion of Dalonghua Elementary School in Yi County in Hebei Province, and the work done by Plan International in rebuilding Guangping Junior Middle School in Han Zhong in the southern part of Shaanxi Province.
