  • Focus on applicants from around the globe
  • High-profile event in Berlin from June 29 to July 1, 2015

Bertelsmann continues its successful “Talent Meets Bertelsmann” careers event: Students from all over the world are now invited to apply to participate in the multi-day event. Applications will be accepted until May 17, 2015.

Thomas Rabe, Chairman and CEO of Bertelsmann, said: “Bertelsmann is undergoing a restructuring process to become a faster growing, more digital, and more international group. To achieve this goal we need the ideas of creative, well-trained employees.”

Immanuel Hermreck, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bertelsmann, added: “Last year, 660 candidates from 66 countries applied to attend ‘Talent Meets Bertelsmann’ – a record number that reflects the event’s high level of international appeal. At Bertelsmann, applicants will find great entrepreneurial freedom, inspiring tasks and, of course, unrivalled career prospects in the fields of media, services and education.”

Since 2008, Bertelsmann has regularly invited top students to its Berlin premises at “Unter den Linden 1” to interact with them in workshops and discussions and promote the students’ development through professional career coaching. The participants will among other things develop presentations and present them to a jury of top executives from the Group. The teams with the most compelling presentations win attractive prizes, including several-day trips to the Group’s international sites. “Talent Meets Bertelsmann” takes place from June 29 to July 1 this year. As every year, it is also the annual highlight of the media company’s multi-award-winning employer branding campaign, “Create Your Own Career” that was updated in 2014.

In all, Bertelsmann has hired or granted internships to 86 top students through the career event, and has created a network of over 400 TMB alumni over the past few years.
