For several years now, Bertelsmann's representative premises have been one of the few “non-museums” in Berlin to participate in the city’s popular "Long Night of Museums” with a lively, diverse program of events. Bertelsmann's contributions to the Long Night take the form of an “Open House” where visitors are offered informative tours of the building as well as readings, music, comedy and even dance.

The “Long Nights” have already featured authors such as Wladimir Kaminer and Marc Elsberg, Germany's most famous beat box crew 4xSample, music and songs performed by GlasBlasSing, die Kleinste Band der Welt (The World's Smallest Band), actor Ilja Richter, baking queen Cynthia Barcomi, who whisked up her famous cupcakes live and with audience participation, Prima Vista readings with David Nathan, Detlef Bierstedt and Oliver Rohrbeck, and dancers from the famous "Flying Steps". Stefan Kaminski has now become a regular performer at the Unter den Linden 1 "Long Nights" with the iconic live radio plays from his series Kaminski ON AIR.
