On Tuesday evening, the “Digital Transformers of the Year” were honored in Berlin. G+J secured a place among the Top 3 in the “Media” category and is one of the companies that the jury honored as “pioneers of digital transformation”. Arne Wolter, Chief Digital Officer, was on site for G+J and explained the attitude that characterizes the work of G+J Digital in a podium discussion with the organizers: “Never stop getting better. Never stop being courageous and trying something new. And never stop having fun with the subject matter.”

“Digital Transformer of the Year” is an initiative of the trade media company Vogel Communications Group, the transformation consulting firm Mediate, and Steinbeis University Berlin. Their goal is to make successes in digital transformation visible and to honor companies with exemplary character that serve as role models. Dorothee Bär, the Federal Government Commissioner for Digitalization, is the patron of the initiative. In addition to G+J, Axel Springer and the Haufe Group were also nominated in the “Media” category. Axel Springer became the overall winner of the category. The best transformation successes were also honored in the categories “Automotive” (Continental AG), “Machinery and Plant Engineering” (Robert Bosch GmbH), “Industry and Technology” (BASF.SE) and “Energy” (Stadtwerke München GmbH).

The “Digital Transformer of the Year” award is not the result of a competition – the Top 3 are determined on the basis of a two-phase industry survey. In the first phase, companies were nominated, and in the second phase – a large-scale market survey – the ranking of the nominated companies was voted on. Ultimately, the panel of seven jurors, including founders Philipp Westermeyer and Florian Heinemann of Projekt A Ventures, determined the overall winners from among the Top 3.
