A total of 59 apprentices and corporate students successfully completed their training as industrial clerks or IT specialists at Bertelsmann in recent weeks. The 30 IT specialists among them will now continue their dual study program for a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems for the next year and a half, as will 17 industrial clerks studying for a Bachelor of Arts in International Management. Twelve industrial clerks were given a farewell ceremony at the Corporate Center in Gütersloh on Tuesday. All of them were offered further employment with a Bertelsmann company.

Two thirds graduate with "very good" or "good"

You started your training three years ago in a very difficult time," Klaus Röttger, Head of Central Training at Bertelsmann, addressed the twelve industrial clerks in his welcoming speech. "With great commitment and team spirit, you overcame many challenges and successfully completed your training with impressive results. With this valuable groundwork, all career paths are now open to you," Röttger said. He was also pleased that all of the young men and women had not only passed all of their final examinations, but also about how their overall grades had turned out: Almost two thirds of them finished with "very good" or "good".

Sabine Schaumburg, as the responsible class teacher, and class representative Justus Pfläging recalled some highlights of the past years with a few personal words before the industrial clerks were presented with their final certificates. For her outstanding performance, Svetlana Shustova received the Bertelsmann Trainee Award in the form of a study grant.
