Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump – Who will win the battle for the White House? While Americans flock to the ballot boxes on November 8, CNN, n-tv and STERN present Germany’s biggest election party. Hosted by Bertelsmann at its Unter den Linden 1 premises in Berlin, the event is expected to be attended by some 700 guests from politics, business and society, who will witness the exciting finale of the U.S. elections live. Besides regular live feeds from the most important venues in the United States, the latest analyses, polls, commentaries and backgrounders, there will be compelling panels and interviews. The event partners are the Embassy of the United States of America, Atlantik-Brücke, the American Academy in Berlin, Google, and UDG United Digital Group.

n-tv will broadcast live from the election party in Berlin starting at 10:00 p.m. Presenter and economic expert Isabelle Körner will follow the major political event of 2016 from the German capital, repeatedly linking to the news studio in Cologne during the night. U.S. correspondents Peter Kleim and Carsten Mierke will report from the candidates’ election headquarters. RTL's news station n-tv will provide comprehensive TV, online and mobile coverage of the developments and implications of the election until the early morning hours, with the latest data and facts, background reports, analysis and assessments by experts such as Gayle Tufts, Melinda Crane and n-tv Business Editor Ulrich Reitz. The U.S. presidential election and its winner will continue to be the main focus of n-tv’s programming on the following day.

CNN International will report live from the U.S. before, during and after the election, with CNN correspondents including Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, Jonathan Mann and Kate Bolduan on location to report on the mood in the United States. Live interviews, assessments, analysis and projections await viewers on all channels during throughout election night.

STERN has already dedicated four cover stories to this year’s U.S. presidential election, which has stirred not only Americans, but also Germans like almost no other U.S. election in history. Germany's largest print magazine regularly provides its readers with analysis and background information on the election campaign. After election night, STERN correspondents from its New York bureau will sum up the most important results and events for issue no. 46. And on the day of the election, a team of reporters at STERN Online will report live from Bertelsmann Unter den Linden 1.

The election night in Berlin can be watched online as well. Under the hashtag #USWahlnacht, n-tv, STERN and the UDG United Digital Group’s social media reporters will share impressions and reactions from the election party at Bertelsmann Unter den Linden 1 in Berlin on Twitter, Facebook & co. Video feeds from around the world are also planned via Google Hangouts, to capture the mood of the U.S. election in different places. Guests will get to see virtual tours of American polling booths as well as “stand-ins” for the two presidential candidates during the evening. On election night, Google’s News Lab will provide real-time analysis of the search interest in the two candidates, present the most popular search terms of the election, and give an insight into the overall U.S. election campaign with Google Trends.
