A festive opening for “Opera Meets New Media - Puccini, Ricordi and the Rise of the Modern Entertainment Industry.” In the presence of more than 100 prominent guests from the worlds of culture, politics, business and society, Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe and Italy’s ambassador Armando Varricchio opened the Puccini exhibition at Unter den Linden 1 in Berlin. To mark the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s death, Bertelsmann is presenting a multimedia exhibition of valuable exhibits from the Archivio Storico Ricordi, which has been part of the company since 1994. Exhibits, numerous original documents and artistic AI animation are staged in innovative installations and show the interplay of opera and media at the time. The exhibition is open to visitors daily from April 18 to May 16, 2024 from 11 am to 6 pm. Admission is free.
