Bertelsmann Corporate Center

The Corporate Center in Gütersloh was inaugurated in 1976 and enlarged in the following years. Group-wide departments like Corporate Communications, Finance, Consulting and HR have their offices here. Bertelsmann's corporate center in New York was created in 1987 and was the company's first outside of Germany. Today it comprises teams for Bertelsmann Inc.'s core corporate functions and corporate development and investment teams focusing on digital media, business information and education.

The media, services and education company with about 75,000 employees around the world has its headquarters in Gütersloh, Germany. The Corporate Center was inaugurated in 1976 and enlarged in the following years due to increasing staff numbers. Departments such as Corporate Communications, Finance, Consulting and HR have their offices here. In November 2001, the German term "Hauptverwaltung" for the Bertelsmann headquarters in Gütersloh was replaced by the internationally common designation “Corporate Center.”
