Mosolf, which describes itself as one of the leading logistics service providers for the international automotive industry, is implementing the sustainability platform “green.screen.” The software was developed by Arvato Systems and further enhanced by Bertelsmann’s “be green” team. It measures a company’s CO2 footprint and helps improve the efficiency of facilities and buildings. The agreement is intended to establish systematic energy and ESG data management at Mosolf that meets regulatory requirements while significantly improving energy efficiency, Arvato Systems said.

Mapping the truck fleet and introducing digital measurement systems

The first step of the project is now underway: Mosolf’s organizational units, facilities such as car washes and paint shops, and the company’s truck fleet of around 800 vehicles will initially be mapped in “green.screen.” The software will consolidate existing energy consumption data – previously based on historical records and manual entries – in a structured way and make it available for systematic analysis. In the next phase of the project, the focus will shift to automation: Mosolf plans to supplement data collection in the future, where appropriate, by deploying digital measurement systems to enable continuous data processing. In the long term, telemetry data from the truck fleet will also be integrated – a significant step toward greater transparency and efficiency in fleet management.

“We chose Arvato Systems because the integrated data collection process in ‘green.screen’ particularly impressed us. We were also able to tailor the software precisely to our logistical requirements – that was the deciding factor,” said Lutz Fricke, Head of Sustainability at Mosolf.

Foundation for reliable ESG reporting

Arvato Systems operates “green.screen” as software-as-a-service in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The platform will be customized for Mosolf – including customized metrics such as fuel consumption and mileage. This will allow precise analysis of energy efficiency and provide the basis for targeted optimization measures, the statement said. As part of implementing the ISO 50001 standard, which requires systematic energy management for the continuous improvement of energy efficiency, Mosolf aims to optimize its energy use long-term. The systematic collection and aggregation of data not only provide a stronger basis for decisions on sustainability measures, but also create the foundation for reliable ESG reporting. Mosolf and Arvato Systems already share a close working relationship: In an earlier SAP transformation project, the entire order processing system of the Mosolf Group’s technology and logistics centers was significantly expanded in SAP.

Insights at ‘LogiMAT 2026’

At ‘LogiMAT 2026,’ an industry trade fair in Stuttgart from March 19 to March 21, Arvato Systems will demonstrate how digital energy management and ESG data processes can be implemented in logistics practice. The company will also provide insights into “green.screen.” Visitors who want to experience the digital supply chain can visit Hall 4, Booth F10 to exchange ideas with experts, explore practical best practices, and see interactive live demos. There, visitors can try out modern logistics solutions, explore innovative use cases, and work with experts to develop concrete approaches to their own challenges.
