Relias subsidiary Nurse.com has announced a comprehensive program for National Nurses Week 2026, bringing together initiatives over the course of a month to support, motivate, and retain nurses. The initiative responds to ongoing challenges such as staff shortages, heavy workloads, and rising turnover across the healthcare sector.
The program focuses on formats that actively engage nurses, including a national storytelling initiative and a virtual event on May 12. The aim is to offer opportunities for exchange, reflection, and professional growth. Nurses are invited to share their experiences and help increase the visibility of their profession. The initiative underscores Nurse.com’s long-term goal of supporting nurses at every stage of their careers through continuing education, community offerings, and professional opportunities.
Opportunity for special recognition of nurses
For healthcare organizations, National Nurses Week offers an opportunity to invest in sustainable workforce engagement. Nurse.com is also offering discounted continuing education: from May 6 to 12, all courses will be available at a 35 percent discount. The program concludes with a virtual event featuring expert content and networking opportunities, including a CE-accredited writing workshop on burnout and resilience, real-world insights from nursing practice, and interactive sessions.
“Our goal is to empower healthcare professionals every day of the year across the Relias family of brands, but National Nurses Week gives Nurse.com a special opportunity to elevate nurses,” said Cara Lunsford, Vice President of Healthcare Policy and Clinical Solutions at Relias. “This year, we wanted to honor their experiences and give back in return. For organizations, this is a chance to show up for their nurses in ways that reflect both appreciation and support.”
Nurse.com is part of Relias, a Bertelsmann Education Group company, and provides digital solutions for workforce development and retention in healthcare. Through Nurse.com, more than three million nurses in the US can connect with peers, apply for jobs, and access continuing education.
