Bruno Mars Tops US Charts

BMG songwriter Bruno Mars secures the top spot on the Billboard 200 with his album “The Romantic.”

“The Romantic,” the fourth studio album by BMG songwriter Bruno Mars, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the US. This is the singer’s second album to reach the top of the US charts, following “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which reached No. 1 in 2013. The new release also scored several additional chart placements: No. 1 on the “Top Album Sales” and “Top Streaming Albums” charts in the US, No. 2 in Australia, No. 3 in the UK, and No. 3 in Germany.

Overall, “The Romantic” is Bruno Mars’ fifth album to reach the Top 5 of the US charts. It follows “An Evening With Silk Sonic,” a collaborative project with Silk Sonic that reached No. 2 in 2021; “24K Magic,” which debuted at No. 2 in 2016; “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which went to No. 1 in 2013; and Mars’ debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” which landed at No. 3 in 2010.

Early success for the first singles

The new album builds on the success of the singles “I Just Might” and “Risk It All.” Released in January, “I Just Might” became Bruno Mars’ tenth No. 1 on the “Billboard Hot 100.” The track has now spent eight consecutive weeks at the top of the US “Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs” and “Hot R&B Songs” charts.

“Risk It All” has also made a strong start, debuting at No. 1 on the “Billboard Global 200.” The song also entered the “Hot 100” at No. 4, giving Mars his 22nd Top 10 hit, and topped the “Billboard Streaming Songs” chart.
In April, Bruno Mars will launch “The Romantic Tour,” which includes 71 concerts across North America and Europe.
