The new social media format “Bertelsmann Global Voices” highlights Bertelsmann’s international presence and diversity across its social media channels. The impact is already measurable: Videos featuring Afya colleague Katharina Grüninger in Brazil on Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, along with contributions from several Bertelsmann employees marking International Mother Language Day, generated a total of around 200,000 views. A significant share of these views came from accounts that had not previously followed Bertelsmann’s channels. Additional highlights included an appearance by Dr. Bob from “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” (German adaptation of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!”), and – just released today – a new video from Dayanna Quintanilha Palmer.
Dayanna Quintanilha Palmer is a specialist in internal medicine working in digital health and AI at Afya in Rio de Janeiro. In her video, she provides insight into her day-to-day work in medical research and that of her colleagues. Her work combines data-driven research with clinical practice. She also explains why diversity and equal opportunity are, in her view, particularly important in research and lead to better results.
BMG at the Grammy Awards
Last week, “Global Voices” featured a contribution from the jungle: Dr. Bob, known from the RTL reality show “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!,” explained in an interview why the TV format and its many international adaptations have been so successful, why he returns each year, and what makes the show special to him. He also provided behind-the-scenes insights into the production and spoke about meeting several of the contestants.
Followers of “Global Voices” can expect more highlights on Bertelsmann’s channels in March. Sevgi Kaymak, Director Corporate Communications at BMG, attended the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last month and will soon share impressions from BMG’s pre-Grammy party in her vlog.
St. Patrick’s Day at ATC
Ireland celebrates St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. To mark the occasion, colleagues at ATC Computer Transports & Logistics will bring followers to Dublin and show how they celebrate the day. The company has been part of Arvato since last year and is headquartered in the Irish capital, at the heart of the country’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
