American football fans in Germany can look forward to a highlight of this year’s regular season: The NFL is coming to Munich on November 15. RTL and Sky Sport will broadcast the Munich Game between the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots live from Allianz Arena. RTL Deutschland will present a cross-platform lineup of programming related to the football spectacle with the premium documentary “Detroit Lions: Hour of the Underdogs” on RTL and RTL+, as well as a live broadcast on Super RTL produced specifically for kids and families.
“Detroit Lions: Hour of the Underdogs”
The Munich Game Sunday will kick off on RTL at 1:30 p.m. with the free-to-air TV premiere of “Detroit Lions: Hour of the Underdogs”. The documentary tells the story of the traditional team’s journey from perennial underdog to title contender. It features Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp, head coach Dan Campbell, quarterback Jared Goff, and star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. The documentary will be available exclusively on RTL+ starting November 8.
“Toggo Touchdown Live”
Football action, exciting insights, and a special kids commentary: “Toggo Touchdown Live – The Munich Game” will once again bring the NFL directly to its young fans on November 16. “Toggo”, Super RTL’s children’s programming, will begin at 3:20 p.m. with a preview and live coverage of the first quarter on TV – and turn the Munich Game into a live experience in the “Toggo” app and on RTL+, where young American football fans will be able to follow the entire game together with the “Toggo” crew and special kids commentary. Host Jessica Schöne, kids commentator Tilman, and American football expert Maximillian von Garnier will explain the action in a way that is easy to understand and entertaining. Kids’ reporter Emma will provide exclusive insights directly from the stadium.
