UFA Produkció Celebrates Ten Years Of Success In The Hungarian Entertainment Market

Continuous growth, strong brands, and a broad production portfolio define the company’s anniversary year 2026.

UFA Produkció, the Hungarian entertainment unit of UFA and part of the global Fremantle group, is celebrating its first major anniversary this year: For ten years, the company has successfully produced non-fiction formats in Hungary and established itself as one of the leading players in the local TV market. To mark the anniversary, the production company invited partners and broadcasters to an anniversary celebration in Budapest last week.

What began in 2015 with the launch of the Show & Factual division within UFA Magyarország has developed into a strong, stable, and continuously growing production brand. Today, the company operates under the name UFA Produkció and stands out for creative diversity, high-quality productions, and partnerships with all leading broadcasters in the country.

A hub for international productions

“In the past ten years, we have evolved from a small division into an established entertainment brand that plays a key role in shaping Hungarian television. I am proud of our team and of how we continue to reinvent ourselves,” said Emese Ács, Managing Director of UFA Produkció. Sascha Kleinschmidt, Managing Director of UFA Produkció, added: “UFA Produkció stands for quality, creative energy, and strong production capabilities. The anniversary is a milestone – and at the same time a starting point for a new phase in which we will further expand our international footprint.”

Over the past ten years, UFA Produkció has produced more than 1,000 hours of non-fiction entertainment – including some of the country’s most successful show brands such as “X Factor,” “Masked Singer,” “Got Talent,” “Take Me Out,” and “The Voice.” Today, the company focuses on a broad range of licensed formats and increasingly on original productions developed in-house. At the same time, UFA Produkció is positioning itself as an internationally positioned production hub and is expanding collaborations beyond the domestic market.

Extensive portfolio of TV formats

In 2026, UFA Produkció is producing the 14th season of “X Factor” for RTL Hungary, continuing one of the country’s most successful music shows. UFA Produkció is also producing the fifth season of “Masked Singer” for RTL Hungary, which again stands out for its spectacular costumes and strong audience response. UFA Produkció is launching a new format, “Best Bid,” for RTL Hungary, in which individuals bring in valuable or unique items to be evaluated by experts. In addition, the company is producing the second season of the successful reality show “B&B of Love” and the new format “Weekly 7” for RTL Hungary. UFA Produkció is also producing the third season of its in-house production “Hit the Road with Me” for Viasat 3; the format received both the Hungarian Big Picture Awards and the TV Journalists Award in 2026. Alongside these confirmed productions, UFA Produkció is currently in promising discussions about other projects that will further expand its portfolio in 2026.
