Arvato Builds High-Tech Logistics Center In Frankfurt Am Main
The new site will expand capacity for IT and tech companies across Europe.
Arvato, the supply chain management and e-commerce provider, is expanding its presence in Germany with the opening of a new 10,000-square-meter high-tech logistics center in Frankfurt am Main. The site is intended to support Arvato’s long-term growth strategy and to strengthen capacity to better serve global hyperscalers, high-tech industries, and a broad range of industrial clients in Europe.
Located in one of Europe’s most dynamic hubs for logistics and data infrastructure, the new facility is Arvato’s response to the rising demand for agile and secure supply chain solutions. The investment also reinforces its presence in the Frankfurt region – a key corridor for cloud infrastructure, AI services, and data center growth.
“Frankfurt has become one of Europe’s most important locations for hyperscalers and high-tech investments. This new facility will expand our infrastructure to provide scalable, integrated logistics solutions that support our clients’ growth,” says Thomas Becker, Head of GSA Tech at Arvato. Hyperscalers include companies such as Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), and Google (Google Cloud), which operate massive, globally distributed infrastructures to deliver cloud services at scale.
Part of Arvato’s strategic evolution
The new Frankfurt site is part of Arvato’s broader strategic evolution in data center logistics, following the acquisition of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics earlier this year. Located close to ATC’s German headquarters, the facility creates synergies that enable end-to-end solutions for hyperscaler and cloud clients – from inbound logistics and warehousing to white-glove delivery, installation, and on-site services.
“The proximity of the two sites allows us to combine the strengths of Arvato and ATC. We synchronize core logistics functions and create a fully integrated operational ecosystem with highly specialized staff and a comprehensive service portfolio. This strong setup reflects the increasing complexity and speed of digital infrastructure projects,” Becker adds.
By providing warehousing and inventory management for IT infrastructure, ensuring rapid deployment of critical hardware, and delivering value-added services such as staging, configuration, and secure handling, the new center will make a central contribution to the implementation of hyperscaler and high-tech projects. Arvato’s clients will be supported in meeting demanding service level agreements and will benefit from shorter response times and maximum uptime – even when faced with dynamically changing requirements.
Built to the latest environmental and technological standards, the new site features energy-efficient infrastructure, intelligent warehouse systems, and a scalable design to enable future growth.
