Arvato Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Strategic Logistics Site in Türkiye
The new logistics center in Çayırova will boost operational capacity for e-commerce and retail brands.
Arvato is advancing its international growth strategy with a further strategic investment in Türkiye, where construction has begun on a new 40,000-square-meter logistics center in Çayırova. Operations are slated to start in October 2026, and the site will offer specialized storage standards alongside a high-security infrastructure.
Arvato marked the groundbreaking of its eleventh operations center in the country at a ceremony held in Çayırova. “As we continue to expand our operational capabilities in Türkiye, the new site will significantly enhance our performance for e-commerce and retail brands while opening up additional growth potential,” says Umur Özkal, Managing Director Türkiye and UAE at Arvato.
European standards
Designed as a single-story, high-efficiency facility, the new center meets European “Type A Big Box” standards. Its layout is engineered to deliver speed and efficiency across all warehouse processes – from inbound handling and sorting to value-added services, inventory management, and outbound shipment.
Arvato highlights that the hub goes beyond conventional storage facilities, offering an infrastructure tailored to the needs of modern brands. Advanced security protocols, extensive monitoring and access-control systems, and dedicated climate-controlled zones for different product categories ensure safe, traceable, and optimal inventory handling.
Focus on stability
Environmental sustainability, operational efficiency, and an employee-centric workplace concept are key features of the site. Among its innovative elements are a rooftop-integrated solar power system that generates renewable energy and an advanced rainwater harvesting system that reduces natural resource consumption. Energy-efficient lighting and climate-conscious building technologies help lower the overall CO₂ footprint, while ergonomically designed workspaces support comfort, well-being, and social interaction.
Construction is already progressing, with full operations targeted for October 2026. “This strategic investment will strengthen Türkiye’s role as an emerging, modern logistics hub and allow us to expand the value-added services we offer our global and local business partners,” explains Umur Özkal.
