Bertelsmann Business Podcast with Annabelle Yu Long

She is CEO of the Bertelsmann Corporate Center in China and Managing Partner of Bertelsmann Asia Investments (BAI): Episode Six of the “Creativity and Entrepreneurship” business podcast features Annabelle Yu Long speaking to presenter Isabelle Körner.

Since the launch of its first fund, BDMI, in 2006, Bertelsmann has invested, through its corporate funds, about a billion euros in young digital companies with innovative business models. The financial returns, especially from disposals, totaled more than €600 million during the same period. Annabelle Long and her team have played a big part in this success: She  and her nine-strong team are responsible for managing Bertelsmann’s investments and shareholdings in Asia. Last May, Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe and CHRO Immanuel Hermreck presented her with her second Bertelsmann Entrepreneur Award. In an interview with Isabelle Körner, the Stanford graduate explains how her father’s strict standards have shaped her career, how she finds interesting companies to invest in, what career opportunities women have in China, and the significance of calligraphy in her day-to-day work.

In each 30- to 45-minute episode of Bertelsmann’s “Creativity and Entrepreneurship” podcast series, n-tv presenter Isabelle Körner talks to top managers from the Bertelsmann world. They give exclusive insights into their working life and describe the importance of creativity and entrepreneurship in it. This episode is the last one before the summer break. The series is scheduled to continue from the beginning of September. You can find the Bertelsmann business podcast on Audio Now  , bertelsmann.com  , iTunes  , and Soundcloud  .
