BII Invests In Service Platform Snabbit

“Rural Day”: Investments by Bertelsmann India Investments are driving progress in India’s rural regions.

Household services are the core business of Snabbit, a young Indian service platform in which Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) has now taken a stake. BII is leading the USD 30 million Series C funding round. Existing investors Lightspeed, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners are also participating.

Snabbit was developed to make life in India’s major cities more convenient. The platform connects users with trusted, trained household helpers for everyday chores, booked by the hour and available within minutes. Snabbit operates through a hyperlocal network in densely populated residential areas and offers fast, reliable services in categories such as daily apartment cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, kitchen prep, and more. According to the company, Snabbit already recorded 300,000 jobs in October 2025.

‘Leading from the start’

“What began as an idea in 2024 is now India’s fastest-growing consumer category,” said Aayush Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Snabbit. “In less than five months, we have grown from under 1,000 to more than 10,000 jobs a day, driven by a 100-percent women-led team of 5,000 household helpers who are redefining dignity and inclusion for a long-overlooked job category.” The strong interest that led to a new funding round only a few months after the previous one, and the continued support from existing investors, reflect the significant potential of the business model. “This round gives us an incredibly strong capital base in a category we have been leading from the very beginning. As we digitize India’s last major offline activity and focus on balancing growth and profitability, I am very much looking forward to building something for this country together with a phenomenal team that drives this mission every day.”

“Bertelsmann’s investment in Snabbit reflects our commitment to supporting companies that scale with purpose, solve real consumer problems, and create positive impact,” said Rohit Sood, Partner at Bertelsmann India Investments. “By transforming how everyday services are delivered, Snabbit is creating dignified economic opportunities for its household helpers and organizing one of India’s largest informal sectors. Aayush’s vision, tireless execution, and dedication to the mission are unparalleled, and we are delighted to accompany him on this journey.”

A large, largely unorganized consumer segment

Household services represent one of India’s largest yet least organized consumer categories. Snabbit has successfully established a foothold here with a digital approach. “When I first met Aayush Agarwal a few months ago, I walked into the room curious and, to be honest, a bit skeptical,” Rohit Sood recalled of his first meeting with the Snabbit founder. “But I left deeply impressed and full of energy. In the weeks that followed, we observed extraordinary adoption of Snabbit’s services and satisfied customers all around us. Conversations with users and service providers reinforced our conviction that this is truly a category whose time has come. During our interactions with the company, it became clear that Snabbit is not only digitizing household services, but also reinventing the entire ecosystem.”
