New Jennifer Lopez Album, Film

“This Is Me... Now” is the title of Jennifer Lopez’s new album, to be released by BMG on February 16, 2024. It is the global superstar’s first studio album in nearly a decade. On the same day, an accompanying musical film with the same title will be released on Amazon Prime. “Can’t Get Enough” the lead single from the new album, will be released on January 10.

On February 16, 2024, BMG will release “This Is Me… Now,” the long-anticipated new studio album by global superstar Jennifer Lopez. Her first studio album in nine years, it references 2002’s “This Is Me...Then.” The singer had signed a global recording and publishing partnership with BMG in September of this year. Nuyorican/BMG will release “Can’t Get Enough,” the lead single, on January 10. Lopez yesterday announced a film of the same name to accompany the new album, also to be released on February 16, and available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and regions.

“This Is Me...Now” was written and recorded between 2022 and 2023 in Jennifer Lopez’s remodeled home studio in Los Angeles and produced by Rogét Chahayed (Doja Cat, Travis Scott), Jennifer Lopez, Angel Lopez (Jack Harlow) and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman (H.E.R). Other songwriters and producers involved in the album include Hitboy (Drake), Ink (Beyonce), Tay Keith (Nicki Minaj), Yeti Beats (Doja Cat), Carter Lang (SZA), Kim “Kaydence” Krysiuk (Ariana Grande). Brandon Riester of BMG served as A&R for the album. “This Is Me...Now” blends R&B, contemporary pop sounds and hip-hop beats, combined with Jennifer Lopez’ unmistakable voice.

The musical companion film “This Is Me... Now” by Nuyorican Productions, directed by award-winning music, film and commercial director Dave Meyers, is an intimate, reflective, and funny observation of the star’s much-ballyhooed personal life. According to BMG, Meyers and Lopez worked together to create an “extravagant visual and sonic feast with impressive choreography, star-studded cameos, costumes, sets and blockbuster-worthy visuals”. The film is a “heartfelt ode to Lopezʼ journey of self-healing and everlasting belief in fairytale endings.”

Jennifer Lopez has racked up global sales of more than 80 million records over the course of her career, also generating 15 billion music streams and more than 18 billion views for music videos of her albums to date. In 2023, the artist further cemented her status as a global movie star. Jennifer Lopez is also the only artist ever to have had a number one album and a number one film simultaneously; her cumulative worldwide box office earnings exceed three billion U.S. dollars.
