RTL+ And HBO Max Launch Joint Streaming Bundle
Starting January 13, RTL+ subscribers can access both streaming services with a single subscription.
When HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service, launches in Germany on January 13, RTL+ is on board from day one. As the company’s exclusive bundle partner, RTL Deutschland’s streaming service will offer access to both platforms with a single subscription, bringing together the best of two entertainment worlds.
RTL+ highlights include “Neue Geschichten vom Pumuckl” (New Stories of Pumuckl), “Make Love, Fake Love,” and UEFA Europa League coverage. These are complemented by HBO Max’s extensive content lineup, featuring series such as “House of the Dragon” and “The White Lotus,” as well as well-known audience favorites including “Game of Thrones,” “Sex and the City,” and “Friends.” The result is a must-have offering for users: a broad selection of high-quality content, easy access, and a clear price benefit.
‘A strong combination of two outstanding content worlds’
“RTL+ and HBO Max are a strong combination of two outstanding content worlds,” says Stephan Schmitter, CEO of RTL Deutschland. “The most successful national content on RTL+, ranging from reality and fiction to sports, comes together in a single offering with top series, iconic films, and much more from HBO Max. This bundle represents the next step in the success story of RTL+ while giving HBO Max a strong platform for its market launch in Germany.”
“This new RTL+ and HBO Max streaming bundle marks another major step in our partnership, following our comprehensive Warner content deal and the marketing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. We are creating an offer whose breadth and appeal we are proud of – one that will excite streaming fans across the board.”
Matthias Heinze, Senior Vice President Commercial & Managing Director Warner Bros. Discovery Germany, Switzerland & Austria, adds: “By bundling HBO Max and RTL+, we are combining HBO’s and Warner Bros. Discovery’s iconic, internationally acclaimed storytelling with RTL+’s strong local roots and most popular hits. Together, we are creating an offer that complements itself perfectly and brings entertainment for every taste and every generation together under one roof. This partnership sends a strong signal for the German market and for the future of premium streaming.”
