Bertelsmann is one of the technologically leading media, services and education companies in the areas of cloud, data and artificial intelligence. The basis for this is the Group-wide bundling of forces, resources and expertise and a clear, coordinated Tech & Data agenda. Under the umbrella of the Tech & Data Alliance, the Bertelsmann Executive Board is driving forward the digital transformation. Together with the Tech and Data Advisory Board, which was founded in 2019, the relevant interfaces are being brought together and specific projects are being developed further. For example, with the Bertelsmann Collaboration Platform, the company is creating the necessary basis for the internal exchange of IT applications. Other example projects include the BeData Store for sharing data within the Group and the netID log-in alliance of RTL Deutschland, ProSiebenSat.1 and United Internet.

Bertelsmann Data Services GmbH has set itself the goal of advancing the internal networking of data and the coordination of technological and political topics in the area of data, in turn strengthening Bertelsmann's data-driven businesses.
