BMG star Jason Aldean has reached another career milestone with his April album release “Songs About Us.” It is the 14th consecutive Top-10 album by the country superstar to reach the “Billboard Top Country Albums” chart in the US. Aldean records for BBR Music Group, BMG’s country label, and has established himself as one of the genre’s most successful artists over the past two decades.
“Songs About Us” continues Aldean’s chart success. In its first week, the album debuted at No. 24 on the “Billboard 200” while also reaching No. 5 on the “Top Album Sales” chart. The single “Don’t Tell On Me” is performing particularly well, currently sitting at No. 13 on the “Country Airplay” chart and No. 15 on the “Hot Country Songs” chart. Aldean himself is ranked No. 26 on the “Billboard Artist 100” chart, which combines results from the “Hot 100,” the “Billboard 200,” and the digital “Social 50” charts to measure overall artist performance across platforms.
International success
The new album is also charting internationally. In the UK, “Songs About Us” debuted at No. 6 on the “Independent Album Breakers” chart and No. 7 on the “Country Artist Albums” chart. The single “Don’t Tell On Me” is also currently ranked No. 12 on the “Country Aircheck” chart and No. 9 on the “Activator” chart.
Even before the new album’s release, the single “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” had already become a hit. Released in April, the song became the 31st No. 1 single of Aldean’s career. The song was written by BMG songwriters Kurt Allison, John Edwards, Tully Kennedy, and John Morgan. All four also contributed to several other tracks on the album, including “Songs About Us,” featuring country star Luke Bryan, as well as the single “Don’t Tell On Me.”
‘2026 Full Throttle World Tour’ Continues
“Songs About Us” follows Jason Aldean’s career retrospective “30 Number One Hits,” which debuted at No. 4 on the “Billboard Top Country Albums” chart last year – becoming his 13th Top-10 country album in 20 years. Aldean is also continuing his “2026 Full Throttle World Tour,” which launched earlier this year and has already taken him to New Zealand and Australia. Beginning in mid-July, the “Songs About Us” leg of the tour will continue through the end of September, taking him across the US and Canada.
