RTL Deutschland Earns 18 Nominations For German Television Awards
“Angemessen Angry”, “Ich bin Dagobert”, and “ZEIT Verbrechen” are in the running, each in three categories.
This year, RTL Deutschland can celebrate a total of 18 nominations for the German Television Awards. On Thursday, the independent jury of experts announced the list of nominations in a total of 29 categories. The awards for outstanding achievements in the past TV year will be presented on September 9 and 10 in Cologne. A three-part TV series produced by UFA Documentary is also nominated in two of the categories.

Several nominations for fictional formats
RTL Deutschland’s fictional formats can have high hopes for winning an award. The RTL+ original productions “Angemessen Angry” (“Best ComedySeries”, “Best Actress”, “Best Direction Fiction”) “Ich bin Dagobert” (“Best Actor”, “Best Cinematography Fiction”, “Best Production Design Fiction”), and “ZEIT Verbrechen” (“Best Drama Series”, “Best Cinematography Fiction”, “Best Montage Fiction”) are each nominated in three categories. RTL+ also has a nomination in the “Best Entertainment Reality” category with “Die Verräter – Vertraue niemandem! Halloween-Spezial”.
RTL is also in the running for one of the coveted awards in the category “Best Entertainment Show” for “Wer wird Millionär? 25 Jahre – Das große Jubiläums-Special”, in the category “Best Script Entertainment” for “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!”, and in the category “Best Production Design Entertainment” for “Der Clark Final Fight – Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich”. In the Information genre, RTL is nominated in the category “Best Documentary/Reportage” for “Stern Investigativ – Die Nazi-Kinder”, and in the category “Best Presentation/Best Host in an Information Program” for “Extra” reporter Burkhard Kress and the “Extra Spezial: Krebs – warum meine Diagnose Ihr Leben ändern kann”.
Nominations for Vox and UFA Documentary
The TV channel Vox has prospects to win an award in the category “Best Factual Entertainment”. Two formats, “Herbstresidenz mit Tim Mälzer und André Dietz” and “Wir werden groß!”, received nominations. The three-part TV series “Roncalli – Macht der Magie” for ARD, produced by UFA Documentary” is nominated in the category “Best Docuseries”. Bernd Hermes is in the running for a German Television Award in for the same TV format in the category “Best Cinematography Information/Documentary”.
The winners of the 25th German Television Awards in the creative individual performances will receive their trophies on September 9 during the “Nacht der Kreativen”. The TV gala with the presentation of the awards in the work categories hosted by Barbara Schöneberger will follow on September 10. The German Television Awards evaluate formats produced between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.
