The business magazine “Capital” has honored “Germany’s Best Training Companies” for the ninth time – including Bertelsmann’s Corporate Center with its Group-owned vocational college, the printing company Mohn Media in Gütersloh, and RTL Deutschland in Cologne.
In the survey of the magazine, which is part of RTL Deutschland via Gruner + Jahr, Bertelsmann’s Corporate Education department achieved the maximum score of 25 points and therefore five of five possible stars in the overall ranking in both the “Training” category with an average of 150 trainees, and in the “Dual Studies” category with 215 students. Mohn Media is listed with 70 trainees, 21 points, and four stars in the “Training” category, while RTL Deutschland scored 19 points with 96 trainees and four stars – as it did in the “Dual Studies” category with 19 students.
“Training at the highest level”
Klaus Röttger, Senior Vice President Corporate Education and Head of Central Training at Bertelsmann, said: “We are very pleased to have once again received the highest scores. They confirm our ongoing commitment to offer training at the highest level. This is a basic requirement for being perceived as an attractive employer in the market for young talent.” He added that the “Capital” award not only recognizes the work of Corporate Education but also that of the dedicated trainers in the companies, who teach and guide young people in professional practice. “We recognize how important it is that Bertelsmann supports all divisions in their training activities. This is the only way to ensure the attractiveness of training and to win promising young talent for the future.”
The study “Germany’s Best Training Companies” was conducted by “Capital” magazine in collaboration with the talent platform Ausbildung.de. Ausbildung.de is part of the HR agency Embrace, which is part of Bertelsmann Investments. According to “Capital”, the study aims “to identify the success factors for vocational training and dual study programs in Germany”. 489 companies took part in the survey, which ran from mid-March until early June. They filled in a questionnaire with more than 90 questions. The evaluation criteria included support, learning in the workplace, training marketing, digitalization and innovation, as well as the prospects of the training’s success. 372 companies achieved a rating of four or five stars.
