German Stroke Foundation Again Receives Donation Seal

The German Stroke Foundation in Gütersloh founded by Liz Mohn in 1993 has once again been honored with the donation seal of the Deutsches Zentralinstitut für Soziale Fragen (DZI, German Central Institute for Social Issues). The DZI thereby confirms that the foundation handles donations in a transparent, purposeful, and economic manner. The DZI donation seal is an independent seal of approval: The underlying standards are subject to annual audits. The seal stands for transparent information on goals, work, and organization; comprehensible financial reports and use of funds; responsible handling of advertising and fundraising, and economical use of donations in compliance with the organization’s statutes. It aims to serve donors as a guide and to strengthen trust in serious charitable organizations. The German Stroke Foundation has voluntarily and regularly undergone this audit since 2006.
