News from Italy: The local branch of BMG Rights Management has acquired the catalog of the Pressing Line music publishing company. Pressing Line is owned by and identified with its founder Lucio Dalla, one of Italy’s biggest music symbols. Its catalog comprises other titles alongside Dalla’s own works, which include such hits as “Tu Non Mi Basti Mai,” “Quante Volte Ti Ho Cercato” and “Canzone,” which was covered by both Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli and sold millions of records around the world. The deal also gives BMG Rights Management the rights for Lucio’s new album, “Angoli Nel Cielo,” which the artist will be taking on tour starting in May .
