Thousands of carnival fans celebrated “2 x 11 years” of Weiberfastnacht in the “Jeckenklinik am Rhing” with the “Lost Sisters e. V.” – for a good cause. At the iconic charity party in Cologne’s Rheinterrassen on Thursday, the chairman of the “Lost Sisters e. V.”, together with the Cologne “Kinderdreigestirn” children’s triumvirate, presented a cheque for €100,000 to Wolfram Kons, RTL’s Head of Charity. “The wonderful ‘Lost Sisters’ are our biggest and strongest sisters in the battle against child poverty in Cologne and its surroundings,” said Kons. “Totally jolly and with their hearts in the right place – thank you 2 x 11 times!” “Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern” will support the “Breakfast 4 kids e.V.” initiative with the donation and provide schoolchildren in Cologne and Brühl, who come to school without having had breakfast, with healthy breaktime snacks. With more than €2.5 million in donations, the “Lost Sisters” have supported numerous projects for disadvantaged children and youths in Cologne and the surrounding region in recent years.
