Hundreds of thousands of people marched for diversity and tolerance in Saturday’s Christopher Street Day parade. Among them were numerous Bertelsmann colleagues, who rode through the streets of Berlin on Bertelsmann’s double-decker “be.queer” float.
After Christopher Street Day in Cologne, Bertelsmann’s colorful “be.queer” float took to the streets of Berlin last Saturday. Numerous colleagues from all Bertelsmann divisions sent a strong signal for diversity, acceptance and unrestricted equality. Among those on the float were Lucy Diakovska from the pop band “No Angels,” radio host, podcaster and Goldmann author Philipp Fleiter, and actor Jannik Schümann, known from the UFA series “Disko 76” and the RTL series “Sisi.”
Hundreds of thousands of people came to Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin for a colorful, loud, and peaceful celebration. More than 70 floats and about 100 walking groups formed a parade on a 7.4-kilometer route through Berlin’s neighborhoods . “Be their voice – and ours! ... For more empathy and solidarity!” was the motto of this year’s CSD Berlin, and of Bertelsmann’s double-decker float with space for 150 people.
