17th edition of “Talent Meets Bertelsmann” a success – creative business ideas impress top management.
At the start of this week, promising young talent from across Europe once again gathered in the heart of Berlin: Bertelsmann hosted the 17th edition of its renowned annual career event “Talent Meets Bertelsmann” (TMB) at its corporate premises at Unter den Linden 1. The international media, services, and education group organizes the event to support creative and entrepreneurial talent and give them space to develop business ideas for the world of tomorrow.
Over 50 exceptional students from more than a dozen European countries had the opportunity to collaborate closely with Bertelsmann representatives, develop new impulses for digital business models, and gain in-depth insights into the company’s diverse operations.
“TMB stands for everything we value at Bertelsmann: bright minds, a spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship,” said Immanuel Hermreck, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bertelsmann. “It is truly impressive to see how passionately and professionally the participants present their ideas.”
Distinguished jury of top executives
Over the course of the three-day event, the student teams developed strategic solutions to real-world challenges drawn from various Bertelsmann divisions throughout a series of interdisciplinary workshops. They then presented their concepts to a distinguished jury made up of Thomas Rabe, CEO of Bertelsmann; Rolf Hellermann, CFO of Bertelsmann; Immanuel Hermreck, CHRO of Bertelsmann; Melanie McAllister, Chief Human Resources Officer at BMG; and Divya Sawhney, Chief Strategy Officer at Penguin Random House.
The winning team will travel to London to visit key Bertelsmann locations, while the second and third place teams will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes insights in Berlin and Munich, respectively.
As in previous years, the event was moderated by Amiaz Habtu, known from various RTL Group television programs.
More information, photos, and videos from the event are available on the official TMB website, as well as on social media using the hashtags #TMB25, #TalentMeetsBertelsmann, and #TMB.
