At this year’s presentation of the “European Digital Publishing Awards”, the news portal of NTV will be awarded as “European Digital Publishing Platform of the Year”. The award honors a digital platform or brand which is successful, proper and creative. The jury especially praises ntv.de’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
At this year’s “European Publishing Congress”, ntv.de, the portal of the German news channel NTV, will be honored with the main prize, “European Digital Publishing Platform of the Year”. This award honors a digital platform or brand which is successful, proper and creative. The “European Publishing Congress” will be a digital event this year and brings together media managers, editors-in-chief, digital experts and strategists from Europe’s media companies to discuss the future of the media industry. The “European Publishing Awards” will be presented on the last day of the congress in 52 categories for Europe’s best newspapers, magazines, digital projects and corporate media.
The international jury especially praises ntv.de for its handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Sebastian Vesper, Chairman of the jury of the “European Digital Publishing Award”, comments on the decision: “Ntv.de has developed into one of the leading German online news brands over the past several years. The editors have managed to transform the coronavirus crisis into an opportunity for digital quality journalism with their commitment, speed, the right balance and depth of facts.” Therefore, ntv.de is “one of the most visited digital publishing platforms today – with a viable business model.”

The portal’s coronavirus live ticker has accumulated a total of 1.02 billion page impressions since its launch. In March 2021, ntv.de recorded more than 318 million visits, once again claiming a top position in its segment.
