The non-governmental organization Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has recognized PRHGE México as a company committed to the inclusion of people from the LGBTQ+ community for the second year in a row, awarding the publishing group its coveted “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+2022” seal. HRC is based in the U.S. and advocates globally for workplace inclusion.

Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial México has been named one of Mexico’s best LGBTQ+ employers by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) Equidad MX for the second year running. HRC is a non-governmental organization based in the U.S. that advocates for workplace inclusion of people from the LGBT community through various global alliances. The companies that earn top marks in its inclusion surveys receive the HRC Foundation’s “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” or “Mejores Lugares para Trabajar LGBTQ+” award.

For five years now, the Mexican chapter of HRC has conducted its annual survey “HRC Equidad MX: Programa Global de Equidad Laboral” among large Mexican companies and multinationals with sites in the country. This year, a total of 242 companies in Mexico received top marks for inclusion, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent. Three aspects in particular were examined: adoption of nondiscrimination policies; creation of employee resource groups or diversity and inclusion councils; and the company’s engagement in public activities to support LGBTQ+ inclusion. Besides Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial México, companies including Amazon, Accenture, American Express, Deloitte Consulting, Facebook, Ford, Google, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg’s, Mercer, Microsoft, P&G, PepsiCo, Pfizer, PwC, SAP, Uber, and Unilever were also recognized as being especially LGBTQ+ friendly.
