Online education provider Relias, part of the Bertelsmann Education Group, has been recognized for its supportive environment for parents and caregivers. The service and research company Seramount has named Relias as one of the “100 Best Companies” for working parents for the third year in a row. As part of this honor, Megan Hairston and Cory Harrison from Relias were recognized as “Working Parents of the Year.”

Relias, an online education provider in the Bertelsmann Education Group and partner to more than 12,000 health and social care organizations and 4.5 million caregivers, has been named one of the “100 Best Companies” for working parents by U.S. services and research firm Seramount for the third consecutive year. The annual award recognizes companies that are committed to providing inclusive benefits for families, supporting employees in achieving work-life balance, and increased mental health benefits for employees.

“It’s an honor for Relias to be named in the 100 Best Companies for a third year in a row, as it rewards our continuous efforts in creating a supportive environment for not only working parents, but all employees,” said Tina Krebs, Chief People Officer at Relias. “When our employees thrive, our company thrives, and we’re committed to providing the resources and flexibility every employee needs to succeed both professionally and personally.”

As part of this year’s recognition by Seramount, two Relias employees were also honored as “Working Parents of the Year”: Megan Hairston, Director, Revenue Technology, and Cory Harrison, Renewal Manager. Both were recognized for their dedication and resilience. By balancing their professional responsibilities with their role as parents, they both set a standard for excellence. “Megan and Cory truly deserve this recognition,” said Krebs. “It’s easy to see the positive impact they’ve had on their teams and on the company at large.”

According to Seramount, the companies chosen were evaluated based on a rigorous process which includes answering more than 200 questions related to leave policies, benefits, childcare, advancement programs, flexibility, and more. “Our 100 Best Companies have been setting the standard on what is considered an inclusive workplace for parents and caregivers for over 40 years,” said Subha V. Barry, President of Seramount. “Thanks to their dedication, benefits that were considered progressive are now considered the norm, like offering bereavement leave after a miscarriage. The mental welfare of employees continues to be a priority and we are thrilled to see almost 100 percent of companies offering support in this area.”
