On “Volunteer Day”, numerous employees of BMG US in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville recently supported various charity organizations. They spent time volunteering at the “Los Angeles Food Bank”, “Los Angeles LGBT Youth Center”, “Housing Works”, “Elvis Duran’s Taste of New York”, the “Nashville Zoo” and the “Safe Haven Family Shelter”.

At the “Los Angeles Food Bank”, the volunteers participated in the “Food Drive Sort-A-Thon Project”, inspecting more than 4,500 kilograms of food, sorting and packaging it to make sure the food going out to the community is good. Volunteers at the “Los Angeles LGBT Youth Center” assembled swag bags and folders to help the center prepare for the annual LGBT Youth Conference. The team volunteering at the “Housing Works” in New York helped in the thrift store and bookstore to benefit HIV/AIDS patients and the homeless. At the “New York Wine and Food Festival”, the group worked with “Elvis Duran’s Taste of New York” to help set up the event. 100 percent of the net proceeds were donated to the “Food Bank For New York City” and the “No Kid Hungry” campaign. Another group dedicated their time to the “Safe Haven Family Shelter”, cleaning and organizing the kitchen and storage unit and spending parenting time with the children doing art projects and helping with homework.

In Nashville, a team volunteered at the “Nashville Zoo”, where they assisted the staff in preparing for their annual “Boo at the Zoo” event. They decorated the grounds with pumpkins and bales of hay, and set up activity stations for various fall festivities.
