Eight Premios Feroz Awards For Grupo Atresmedia

At the Premios Feroz last weekend in Bilbao, two Grupo Atresmedia productions were honored with a total of eight awards. The film “El Reino”, in which Atresmedia Cine participated, won the Spanish film award in five categories, and the Atresmedia series “Fariña” received awards in three categories.

Last weekend, the Spanish Grupo Atresmedia, in which RTL Group holds a stake, was able to celebrate numerous awards for its productions at the presentation of the Premios Feroz: the film “El Reino” and the series “Fariña” won a total of eight awards in Bilbao. The Premios Feroz are presented annually by the Asociación de Informadores Cinematográficos de España.

The film “El Reino”, in which Atresmedia Cine participated, is a production of Tornasol and Trianera PC AIE in cooperation with Le Pacte, Mondex & Cie and Movistar Plus and won the Spanish film award in five categories: “Best Film Drama”, “Best Director” (Rodrigo Sorogoyen), “Best Screenplay” (Rodrigo Sorogoyen and Isabel Peña), “Best Actor Film” (Antonio de la Torre), and “Best Supporting Actor Film” (Luis Zahera). “El Reino” is about corruption in Spanish politics. The Atresmedia series “Fariña” received the award in the categories “Best Drama Series”, “Best Actor Series” (Javier Rey for his role as Sito Miñanco), and “Best Supporting Actor Series” (Antonio Durán for his role as Terito). The series, which Series Atresmedia produced in cooperation with Bambú Producciones, is based on Nacho Carretero’s book of the same name and tells the story of drug trafficking in Galicia in Spain in the 1980s.
